PYP Homeroom Teacher

Candidates should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above

  • More than 2 years of relevant teaching experience

  • Candidates must be fully qualified for primary homeroom teachers with excellent classroom practices and a love of teaching

  • Excellent communication skills with students

  • Teach students in a way that enables them to achieve high standards of learning

Job Description

1. Student Management: Manage and monitor the learning and behavior of students in the classroom to ensure that their academic progress and behavior are in line with the school's regulations. Monitor students' academic progress, pay attention to their mental health, and provide necessary support and guidance.

2. Parent Communication: Maintain positive communication with parents and hold regular parent meetings to share students' development and answer parents' concerns.

3. Curriculum Monitoring: Monitor and support the educational process within the classroom to ensure that the curriculum implementation is effectively executed. Collaborate with the teaching team to promote the development of the subject and improve the quality of teaching.

4. Activity Participation: Actively participate in student-related in-school and out-of-school activities to promote teamwork and student engagement.

5. Behaviour Management: Manage behaviour within the classroom, formulate and implement appropriate behaviour policies, and ensure the following of school rules and regulations. Foster a positive school culture.

6. Academic Monitoring: Tracking students' academic performance with the help of subject tests and student grades and taking steps to help those who need extra support.

7. Parent Conferences: Participate in regular parent conferences to share student development and school updates with parents.

8. Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other classroom teachers, faculty, and staff, and participate in the coordination of the school administration to ensure the smooth operation of the entire school.

9. Intercultural Communication: Facilitate intercultural communication among students and actively participate in cultural activities to enhance students' understanding of and respect for multiculturalism, diversity and inclusion.

10. Cultural Adaptation: Assist international students in adapting to the local culture by providing cultural adaptation guidance and addressing challenges they may face.

Low Secondary Science Teacher

Candidates should have:

  • have a Bachelor degree or above (Major in Biology or Chemistry, preferred but not essential)

  • have more than 2 years relevant teaching experience

  • have good communication skills with students

Job Description

· undertake long, medium and short-term planning to ensure appropriate curriculum

· coverage according to the requirements of the respective examination board syllabi

· work as part of the team of Science teachers to organize the Science Fair

· ensure that student learning in classes is monitored, appropriately assessed and that the results of such assessment are used to enhance learning

· regularly report progress of students to parents

· actively participate in the range of extra-curricular activities and programmes that take

place outside the regular school day. This may include relevant competitions

· take part in designated school events, as defined by the school calendar
