Structure
We have four Houses, each with its own House Leaders (to encourage and motivate students), Captains and Vice-Captains (to set an example for others, and to assist with hosting & organisation).
Every pupil (Grade 1 - Grade 12) and member of staff is assigned a House on joining the school, with siblings placed in the same House to foster a sense of family loyalty - and less tension during competitions!
Identity, collaboration and competition
The WES House system is an integral part of school life. It complements the academic side by challenging students to showcase their ability, within a wide variety of disciplines, in a competitive environment. The House system also enables students to develop a cohesive community and spirit within their factions, through healthy Inter-House competition and a sense of belonging.
The outcome
House points are accumulated throughout the academic year, through individual and team competition as well as through the demonstration of the IB values that drive our school ethos. At the end of each year, one House is crowned the Champion.
